Softball Recap: Grandview Beats Fairfield for Their 15th Straight Victory

With a playoff win on the line, Grandview rose to the challenge on Friday. They never let the Fairfield Eagles get on the board and left with a 17-0 win. The Zebras might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 21 contests by seven runs or more this season.

The victory (which was Grandview's 15th in a row) raised their record to 27-3. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.1 runs over those games. As for Fairfield, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 14-4 record.

The teams wasted no time getting back out on the field as they've already faced off again: they played to a 0-0 draw on Saturday.
