Beauregard has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will square off against the Valley Rams at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Valley took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Beauregard, who comes in off a win.
Last Saturday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Beauregard beat the Tigers 38-34. 38 seems to be a good number for Beauregard as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.
Beauregard can attribute much of their success to Cooper Watson, who scored five points along with eight rebounds and four steals. Watson is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 12 games she's played. Kam Torbert was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, Valley took a serious blow against the Cavaliers on Thursday, falling 68-14. While losing is never fun, Valley can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 234th in Alabama, while the Cavaliers are ranked 102nd in Georgia).
Beauregard is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-9 record this season. As for Valley, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-8.
Beauregard couldn't quite finish off the Rams in their previous meeting back in January and fell 44-42. Can Beauregard avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
