The McKinley Macks will head out on the road to take on the Middle Early College Kats at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
Last Friday, things could have been worse for McKinley, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 63-46 loss to Health Sciences Charter. While losing is never fun, McKinley can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 465th, while Health Sciences Charter is ranked 99th).
Meanwhile, even though East scored an imposing 57 points on Friday, Middle Early College still came out on top. Middle Early College took down East 75-57. The victory was just what Middle Early College needed coming off of a 75-42 loss in their prior matchup.
McKinley has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season. As for Middle Early College, the win got them back to even at 3-3.
Everything came up roses for McKinley against Middle Early College in their previous matchup back in January of 2023 as the squad secured a 93-61 victory. Does McKinley have another victory up their sleeve, or will Middle Early College turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
