Patterson Mill waltzed into their contest Thursday with four straight wins but they left with five. They took down Aberdeen 59-44. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Patterson Mill also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2023.
Leading Patterson Mill to victory were Rylie Madsen and Kiley Wilhelm. Madsen scored 19 points along with nine rebounds and five blocks, while Wilhelm scored 13 points along with eight rebounds and seven assists. The contest was Wilhelm's third in a row with at least ten points. sophia trinh was another key contributor, scoring six points along with three steals.
Patterson Mill's victory bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Aberdeen, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season.
Patterson Mill will take on Edgewood at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Maryland (Edgewood is ranked 72nd, while Patterson Mill is ranked 77th). As for Aberdeen, they will head out on the road to face off against Havre de Grace at 3:30 p.m. on Monday.
