Things were looking good for Twin Valley after they put the first points on the board on Tuesday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They fell just short of Hamburg by a score of 8-7. The defeat continues a trend for the Raiders in their meetings with the Hawks: they've now lost four in a row.

Erin Cromwell put in work no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out ten batters over 6.2 innings while giving up four earned (and four unearned) runs off ten hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 3-for-4. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2024.
In other batting news, Maggie Krall was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one home run, two stolen bases, and two runs. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Hailie Barton, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.
Even though they lost, Twin Valley hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hamburg struck out ten times.
Meanwhile, Reading lost 17-1 to Berks Catholic on Tuesday. The game marked the Red KNights' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.
Reading saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Angelia Torres, who scored a run while going 1-for-2. That hit was Torres' first of the season.

Reading's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Twin Valley hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .344. It's a different story for Reading, though, as they've only averaged .217. Will they be able to contain Twin Valley's hitters?
Everything went Twin Valley's way against Reading in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as Twin Valley made off with a 15-0 win. Will Twin Valley repeat their success, or does Reading has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
