After a string of three wins, Eastern's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell just short of the Maconaquah Braves by a score of 2-1. If the Comets were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Braves when the teams met back in October of 2021, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Leading Maconaquah to victory were Averie Maiben and Aubrey Kaiser. Maiben had 17 assists and seven digs, while Kaiser had eight digs.

Eastern's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Maconaquah, the win keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Coincidentally, Eastern and Maconaquah will both be playing Pike the next time they take the court. The Comets will head out to face the Red Devils at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, while the Braves will play them later in the day, at 2:30 p.m.
