The Calvary Christian Academy Patriots's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They took a 51-32 bruising from L.E.A.D. Academy. Calvary Christian Academy was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as L.E.A.D. Academy apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2021.
L.E.A.D. Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Kamryn Lay out in front who scored ten points along with nine rebounds. Another player making a difference was Emily Harold, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Calvary Christian Academy's loss was their fourth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 7-6. As for L.E.A.D. Academy, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 9-4.
Calvary Christian Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against Gulf Pointe Latin at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for L.E.A.D. Academy, they will head out on the road to challenge Escambia at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Escambia comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 25 points in their last five games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
