Baseball Recap: MACCRAY's Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Four

MACCRAY came tearing into Tuesday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.7 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-5 win over the Tracy-Milroy-Balaton Panthers. The game was the first time the Wolverines have beaten the Panthers on their field since April 16, 2015.

MACCRAY saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Wyatt Swenson, who went 3-for-4 with one RBI. Peyton Schlagel also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

MACCRAY now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Tracy-Milroy-Balaton, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-5.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. MACCRAY will square off against rival Renville County West at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Tracy-Milroy-Balaton is set to take on their familiar foe Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
