The LaBelle Cowboys/Cowgirls will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Lely Trojans at 6:00 p.m.
LaBelle unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Saturday. They lost to Barron Collier at home by a decisive 52-34 margin. LaBelle has struggled against Barron Collier recently, as their contest on Saturday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Lely posted their biggest win yet this season on Friday. They really took it to Palmetto Ridge for the full four quarters, racking up a 61-28 victory at home. With Lely ahead 39-17 at the half, the game was all but over already.
It was another big night for Fara Louissaint, who scored 18 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Sofiia Kiritsa, who scored ten points.
LaBelle's defeat dropped their record down to 9-5. As for Lely, they pushed their record up to 8-8 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home.
LaBelle strolled past Lely in their previous meeting back in January of 2023 by a score of 44-29. Does LaBelle have another victory up their sleeve, or will Lely turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
