The Glenwood Titans waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with three straight wins but they left with four. They blew past Jacksonville, posting a 57-15 win on the road. Given Glenwood's advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 76th, while Jacksonville is ranked 540th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Glenwood to victory, but perhaps none more so than Rowann Law, who scored ten points along with six rebounds. Makenna Yeager was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with three steals.
Several Crimsons players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Laila Cook, who scored six points.
Glenwood pushed their record up to 17-5 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.0 points per game. As for Jacksonville, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost 13 of their last 14 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-22 record this season.
Glenwood won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Sacred Heart-Griffin at 7:00 p.m. on January 24th. As for Jacksonville, they will head out on the road to face off against MacArthur at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
