Softball Recap: Bardstown Has No Trouble Against Bullitt Central

Bardstown came out on top against Bullitt Central on Friday thanks in part to the team's impressive 11-run sixth inning. The Tigers were the clear victors by a 20-7 margin over the Cougars. That 13 run margin sets a new team best for the Tigers this season.

Gracie Edelen was a standout: she went 3-for-5 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one triple. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in RBI (two). Another player making a difference was Molly Kisegy, who went 2-for-5 with four runs and two RBI.

Bardstown moved to 5-10 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Bullitt Central, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 12 of their last 16 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-15 record this season.

Coincidentally, Bardstown and Bullitt Central will both be playing John Hardin the next time they take the field. The Cougars will head out to face the Bulldogs at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, while the Tigers will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
