After flying high against the Archie Williams Peregrine Falcons last Saturday, The Redwood Giants came back down to earth. Redwood took a hard 35-17 fall against Tamalpais on Saturday. Redwood was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Tamalpais apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in November of 2022.
Tamalpais got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Braden Young out in front who threw for 301 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 12.5 yards per attempt. Tamalpais also got a significant boost from Jake Son, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 81 yards.
Redwood's loss dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Tamalpais, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-3.
Redwood will be playing at home against Heritage at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in California (Heritage is ranked 277th, while Redwood is ranked 271st). As for Tamalpais, they will head out on the road to face off against Casa Grande at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Casa Grande will be looking to extend their current nine-game winning streak.
