South Point got themselves on the board against Lincolnton on Thursday, but Lincolnton never followed suit. They were the clear victor by a 10-0 margin over the Lincolnton Wolves. The Red Raiders not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since April 16, 2024.

South Point let Reagan Mizell and Taylyn Ledford run wild. Mizell scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-2, while Ledford scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. That's the most runs Ledford has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Ella Gibson, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

South Point was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .417. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lincolnton only posted a batting average of .125.

South Point's win ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-1. As for Lincolnton, they moved to 3-4 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

South Point didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, an 8-7 defeat against Forestview on the 14th. As for Lincolnton, they have also already played their next game, a 13-2 loss against West Caldwell on the 14th.
