Baseball Recap: Hylton Snaps Seven-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Charles J. Colgan, Hylton was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They put the hurt on the Gar-Field Red Wolves with a sharp 13-2 win. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won four games by 11 runs or more so far this season.

Hylton's victory ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-6. As for Gar-Field, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-10.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hylton will head out to take on Saint John Paul the Great Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Bulldogs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wolves have averaged an impressive 6.7 runs per game this season. As for Gar-Field, they will venture away from home to face off against Woodbridge at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
