The Menlo School Knights typically have all the answers at home, but on Friday the Sacred Heart Prep Gators proved too difficult a challenge. Sacred Heart Prep came out on top against Menlo School by a score of 31-19. The win made it back-to-back wins for Sacred Heart Prep.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Sacred Heart Prep to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jack Stevens, who picked up 90 receiving yards and a touchdown. Anthony Noto was in the mix too, providing Sacred Heart Prep with two touchdowns.
Menlo School's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performance. Perhaps the best among them was Mikey McGrath, who rushed for 38 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 126 yards and a touchdown on only 11 passes.
Sacred Heart Prep has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season. As for Menlo School, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 9-1.
Sacred Heart Prep will take on Monterey at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Monterey will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each match than the last. As for Menlo School, they will head out on the road to face off against Live Oak at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Live Oak is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling.
