Bloomfield is 8-2 against Plainview since January of 2016, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Bloomfield Bees will be playing at home against the Plainview Pirates at 7:30 p.m. Bloomfield will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive.
Two weeks ago, Bloomfield was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 51-45 to Elgin/Pope John. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Bloomfield in their matchups with Elgin/Pope John: they've now lost four in a row.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Mason Mackeprang, who scored 15 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Beau Eisenhauer, who scored ten points.
Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Plainview's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They took a 51-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of West Holt.
Bloomfield's defeat dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Plainview, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 8-4.
Bloomfield took their victory against Plainview in their previous meeting back in January of 2023 by a conclusive 63-42. Does Bloomfield have another victory up their sleeve, or will Plainview turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
