The Kings Knights's game last Tuesday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They took down West Clermont 73-54. Given Kings' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 196th, while West Clermont is ranked 484th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
West Clermont's loss came despite strong showings from Rayshawn Hubbard and Cameron Strause. Hubbard scored 22 points along with five rebounds, while Strause scored 12 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jase Meiser, who scored five points.
Kings' victory bumped their record up to 8-9. As for West Clermont, they dropped their record down to 5-13 with that defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kings will square off against Walnut Hills at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for West Clermont, they will head out on the road to face off against Winton Woods at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
