The Calvert Senecas will challenge the Liberty-Benton Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Calvert is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 13.2 runs per game this season.
On Monday, Calvert got the win against Old Fort by a conclusive 15-1. The Senecas might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matches by six runs or more this season.

Addison King made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over 6.2 innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in March. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with one double and one RBI.
In other batting news, Ava Eilrich was incredible, getting on base in five of her six plate appearances with five stolen bases, three runs, and one double. Addie Endicott was another key player, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with two doubles, one run, and one RBI.
Calvert always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .535. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Old Fort only posted an OBP of .200.
Meanwhile, Liberty-Benton might've scored the first runs on Monday, but it was Elmwood who claimed the real prize. The Eagles lost 18-8 to the Royals.
Kylie Steinman was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run and four RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Alyssa Roberts, who got on base in two of her three plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.
Calvert is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-2 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.1 runs over those games. As for Liberty-Benton, their loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 10-3.
Tuesday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Calvert has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .523. However, it's not like Liberty-Benton struggles in that department as they've averaged .435. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
