The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Calvary Christian Academy came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 37th in Delaware, while Worcester Prep is ranked 171st in Maryland).
When it comes to explaining why Calvary Christian Academy lost, one person who can't be blamed is Diaya Armantrading. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 11 points and 15 rebounds. Armantrading has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last six times she's played. Leia Sensenig (HS) was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Calvary Christian Academy has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-5 record this season. As for Worcester Prep, their victory bumped their record up to 7-5.
