The Stanton Buffaloes will head out on the road to face off against the Whiteface Antelopes at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Stanton fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back victories it seems like their luck might finally be changing. The stars were shining brightly for them in a 53-37 win over Kermit on Tuesday.
Whiteface has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten games by 20 points or more this season. Everything went their way against Midland Christian on Tuesday as Whiteface made off with a 51-31 win. The win was familiar territory for Whiteface who now have three in a row.
Stanton's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-9. As for Whiteface, their win was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 15-3.
Stanton came up short against Whiteface in their previous matchup back in December of 2021, falling 47-41. Can Stanton avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
