The Silverado Skyhawks have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 20 points or more this season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Wednesday as they easily beat Las Vegas 71-30 at home. With Silverado ahead 48-19 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
Silverado had a senior duo take command as Cyril Franklin, Jr. dropped a double-double on 21 points and 11 rebounds and Carlos Bradley scored 19 points along with eight rebounds. The matchup was Franklin, Jr.'s 18th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Donovan Schwallie, who scored no points along with six steals.
Silverado has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. As for Las Vegas, their loss dropped their record down to 9-8.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Silverado will take on Desert Pines at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Las Vegas, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Rancho at 6:30 p.m. One thing working in Rancho's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last six contests.
