After a string of four wins, Jackson County's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They fell just short of the Habersham Central Raiders by a score of 2-1. Jackson County were not able to make up for their defeat to Habersham Central from their previous meeting back in March of 2024.

Jackson County's loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 9-5. As for Habersham Central, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-2.

Jackson County and Habersham Central will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next contests. The next time the Panthers see the pitch they'll take on Social Circle at 5:30 p.m. on the 15th. As for Habersham Central, their break will end when they face Peachtree Ridge at 5:30 p.m. on the 18th.
