The Pueblo Warriors will take on the Sunnyside Blue Devils at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. Pueblo will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
Pueblo is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Sahuaro on Thursday as they made off with a 24-3 win. That's two games straight that the Warriors have won by exactly 21 runs.

Isabella Castellano looked comfortable as she tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Sofie Larribas, who went 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. She also hit a double, marking her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Liza Alcantar, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base.
Pueblo was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .455. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .378 or higher in five consecutive games.
Meanwhile, after some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last three contests, Sunnyside finally came back down to earth on Wednesday. They came up short against Salpointe Catholic, falling 7-0. The Blue Devils' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
Sunnyside's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Pueblo, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
Monday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Pueblo hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .391. However, it's not like Sunnyside struggles in that department as they've averaged .356. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Pueblo might still be hurting after the 12-2 defeat they got from Sunnyside when the teams last played back in March of 2025. Will the Warriors have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more softball content.
