Rison will face off against Lamar in a playoff matchup on Friday. Rison has bulldozed their previous nine opponents, so Lamar might have their hands full.
The Wildcats earned some postseason bragging rights after a successful outing last Friday. They were fully in charge, breezing past Baptist Prep 59-6.
Lamar turned the game against Lakeside into a track meet and took the gold after outgaining them 406 yards to 148.2. Lamar put a hurting on Lakeside to the tune of 57-8. Brady James had a stellar game for the Warriors as he rushed for 121 yards and three TDs on six carries.
The Warriors' defense was a presence as well, and it made life painful for the QB and got past Lakeside's offensive line for a total of five sacks. Leading the way was Josh Salinas and his two sacks.
The Wildcats simply couldn't be stopped when the two teams last met in last November, as they easily beat the Warriors 53-15. The Wildcats' win shoved the Warriors out of the playoffs, so expect the team to have a target on their back in this one.
