The Inspired Vision EAGLES's game last Tuesday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They came out on top against A Plus Academy by a score of 53-40. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Inspired Vision also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2023.
Inspired Vision's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Tyree Sheffield, who scored 19 points. That makes it seven consecutive games in which Sheffield has scored at least a third of Inspired Vision's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Gabriel Kalala, who scored 15 points.
Inspired Vision pushed their record up to 6-14 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.7 points per game. As for A Plus Academy, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Inspired Vision won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Trinity Leadership at 11:00 a.m. on January 13th. Trinity Leadership presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Inspired Vision in Texas (Trinity Leadership is ranked 604th, while Inspired Vision is ranked 1436th). As for A Plus Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Madison at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Madison knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past four contests -- so hopefully A Plus Academy likes a good challenge.
