The Napoleon Wildcats were the 63-38 winner over the Findlay Trojans when they last played one another back in December of 2020, but their luck changed this time around. Napoleon's rough 54-33 loss to the Trojans on Monday might stick with them for a while. While losing is never fun, Napoleon can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 315th, while the Trojans are ranked 110th).
Despite the loss, Napoleon had strong showings from Makayla Kruse, who scored 12 points, and Lylah Huddle, who scored seven points.
Napoleon has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-11 record this season. As for Findlay, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 14-5.
Napoleon will look to defend their home court on Thursday against the Blue Devils at 7:00 p.m. Findlay will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against the Bulldogs at 1:00 p.m. on February 10th.
