Basketball Recap: Harbor Springs' Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Wednesday

Harbor Springs was the 81-80 winner over Glen Lake when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Harbor Springs Rams took a 71-63 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Glen Lake Lakers on Wednesday. The Rams' defeat signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

Leading Glen Lake to victory were Jacob Plamondon and Benji Allen. Plamondon dropped a double-double on 21 points and 22 rebounds, while Allen went 12 of 19 on his way to 28 points and six assists. With that strong performance, Plamondon is now averaging an impressive 2.5 blocks per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Tobiah Bradford, who posted nine points.

Harbor Springs' loss ended a six-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 6-1. As for Glen Lake, their win was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Harbor Springs will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Sault Area at 7:15 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Harbor Springs is facing Sault Area at the right time seeing as Sault Area is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Glen Lake, they will head out to challenge Frankfort at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Glen Lake's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
