If the Sidney Team were feeling good off their 79-49 takedown of the Sherburne-Earlville Marauders on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Sidney was beaten by Chenango Forks 75-42 on Wednesday.
Chenango Forks can attribute much of their success to Stephen Samsel, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 18 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Ethan Vaseleck, who scored 11 points along with 7 rebounds and 3 blocks.
Sidney's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Chenango Forks, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
Sidney will head out on the road to face off against Chenango Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Chenango Forks, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Windsor Central at 7:15 p.m.
