The Miami-Yoder Buffaloes''s four-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They claimed a resounding 44-16 victory over Sangre de Cristo at home. The result was nothing new for Miami-Yoder, who have now won four games by 28 points or more so far this season.
Gavin Howard had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 233 yards and four touchdowns on only 15 carries, and also threw for 90 yards and two touchdowns. Howard was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 65 yards. James Orozco also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
Another reason for the win was Miami-Yoder's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. Leading the way was Isaac Labrecque and his two sacks.
Miami-Yoder's victory bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Sangre de Cristo, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season.
Miami-Yoder does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Sangre de Cristo also has no future games currently scheduled.
