Last Friday, Hilliard Bradley earned a 54-41 win over Dublin Coffman. Given Hilliard Bradley's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 38th, while Dublin Coffman is ranked 194th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Upper Arlington's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. Their tough 67-47 defeat to Marysville might stick with them for a while. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat Upper Arlington has suffered yet this season.
Hilliard Bradley's victory bumped their record up to 9-4. As for Upper Arlington, their loss dropped their record down to 7-6.
Hilliard Bradley barely slipped by Upper Arlington in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, winning 56-55. The rematch might be a little tougher for Hilliard Bradley since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
