A well-balanced attack led Booneville over Nettleton every single quarter on their way to victory. Booneville steamrolled Nettleton 49-6. Booneville's victory was all the more impressive since Nettleton was averaging only 17.5 points allowed on the season.
The Blue devils started the contest off right with 28 first-half points. Meanwhile, Nettleton couldn't get anything going offensively, leaving the score at 28 to nothing heading into the break. The Booneville defense was impenetrable in the third quarter, shutting them out and essentially clinching the matchup.
Davian Price had a stellar game for Booneville as he rushed for 97 yards and two TDs on 12 carries. Price has now scored at least one touchdown in the past ten games. The Blue devils also got a nice defensive effort from J. D. Nanney, who took down the quarterback three times.
The Blue devils will take on North Panola at 7 p.m. ET on Friday. The Blue devils will be home again for the second game in a row. The Tigers are on the road again on Friday and play against Senatobia at 7 p.m. ET. The Tigers are the clear underdogs, so they're hoping it's the size of the fight that determines this one.
