If Kimball/White Lake wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Burke, they should've done a better job of containing Kyrie Matucha. The Cougars were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Wildkats on Thursday with plenty of help from Matucha, who had 13 digs and four assists. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 13 or more in each of the last six games she's played dating back to last season.

Burke was especially dominant in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-7, 25-16.

Burke's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Kimball/White Lake, their loss was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Burke will challenge Miller at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Kimball/White Lake, they will take on Andes Central/Dakota Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
