Softball Recap: Tombstone's Win Ends Three-Game Losing Streak at Home

Tombstone barely beat Desert Christian the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Yellow Jackets never let the Eagles get on the board and left with an 18-0 victory on Monday. The Yellow Jackets have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Eagles, too.

McKenzy Nicoll was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Bella Lopez, who scored two runs while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.

Tombstone always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .625. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Desert Christian only posted an OBP of .250.

Tombstone's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-12. As for Desert Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-11.

Tombstone will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Eagles: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
