The Ada-Borup Cougars were handed a two-point loss in their last game, but they sure didn't let that happen against the Thief River Falls Prowlers on Tuesday. Ada-Borup took their match on the road with ease, bagging a 76-45 win over Thief River Falls. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 38-14.
Cadyn Dahl was his usual excellent self, scoring 18 points. Another player making a difference was Cameron Spaeth, who scored nine points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Despite the loss, Thief River Falls had strong showings from Caleb Rosendahl, who scored 13 points along with eight rebounds and five assists, and Lucas Rantanen, who scored five points along with three steals.
Ada-Borup pushed their record up to 11-1 with that win, which was their seventh straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.1 points per game. As for Thief River Falls, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-8.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ada-Borup will challenge Lake Park-Audubon at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Lake Park-Audubon is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak. As for Thief River Falls, they will head out on the road to challenge Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
