The Old Orchard Beach Seagulls will venture away from home to challenge the Mount Abram Roadrunners at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Old Orchard Beach has given up an average of 7.8 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Richmond hit Old Orchard Beach with a five-run fourth inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Seagulls lost 13-2 to the Bobcats. Having soared to a lofty 14 runs in the game before, the Seagulls couldn't push the score so high this time.

Old Orchard Beach saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Wesley Gallant, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI. Gallant is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season.
Mount Abram never got on the board in their matchup on Tuesday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Boothbay on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 12-1 margin over the Seahawks. The Roadrunners might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matchups by six runs or more this season.
Brennan Mitchell made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single hit and allowing only one earned run over four innings pitched. Mitchell was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, two doubles, and one stolen base. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, Mount Abram got a massive performance out of Logan Dube, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with four RBI and two runs. Another player making a difference was Ash Rollins, who went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases and three runs.
Mount Abram always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .567. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Boothbay only posted an OBP of .250.
Mount Abram's victory was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-2. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.2 runs over those games. As for Old Orchard Beach, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-4.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Thursday as neither team is afraid to steal. Old Orchard Beach has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 5.2 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Mount Abram struggles in that department as they've been averaging 6.7 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
