The Washington Academy Raiders are taking a road trip to  face off against the Bucksport Golden Bucks  at 4:30  p.m.  on Thursday. Washington Academy will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.
On Tuesday, Washington Academy got the win against Orono  by a conclusive  13-3. Considering the Raiders have won 11 matches by more than five  runs this season, Tuesday's  blowout was nothing new.
 James Welch made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he  pitched six innings while giving up  three earned runs off   four  hits. Welch was also stellar in the batter's box,  going 3-for-5 with four  stolen bases, three  runs,  and one  RBI. He has been hot recently, having  posted  at least one  stolen base the last four times he's  played.

 In other batting news,  Daniel Gardner was a standout: he got on base  in all five of his plate appearances with four  stolen bases, three  RBI,  and two  runs. The dominant performance also gave  him a new career-high in  hits (three). Another player making a difference was  Colby Moholland, who  got on base  in four of his five plate appearances with two  stolen bases, three  runs,  and two  RBI.
 Meanwhile, Bucksport never let their opponents score on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Dexter, sneaking past  2-0. The  win made it back-to-back  victories for the Golden Bucks.
 Washington Academy's victory was  their fifth straight on the road, which  pushed their record up to 12-1. The  road  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games. As for Bucksport, their record now sits at 8-6.
