The Fremont Tigers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They took a 53-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of Gretna East.
When it comes to explaining why Fremont lost, one person who can't be blamed is Matthea Dalton. Despite the final result, she scored nine points along with 16 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jenna Mcclain, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds.
Fremont's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Gretna East, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-1.
Fremont will be home for the holidays to greet Norfolk at 5:45 p.m. on Friday. Norfolk has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. Gretna East is on the road again on Thursday and play against Marian at 7:30 p.m. on December 14th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Nebraska (Marian is ranked 84th, while Gretna East is ranked 61st).
