Volleyball Recap: Turtle Lake Takes a Loss

Turtle Lake lost against Bloomer back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Lakers fell just short of the Blackhawks by a score of 2-1. The Lakers' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Turtle Lake sadly wound up on the wrong side. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 20-25, 15-13.

Charli Molls paced Turtle Lake's offense, picking up 16 kills. Molls got some help from Lacey Popenhagen and her 35 assists. Ashlyn Hubbard controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Turtle Lake's loss dropped their record down to 17-11. As for Bloomer, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 17-13.

Turtle Lake didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 victory against Fall Creek on the 4th. As for Bloomer, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against Northwestern on the 4th.
