Browne hasn't had much luck against Camelback recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Browne Bruins will head out to square off against the Camelback Spartans at 7:00 p.m. Browne is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 60.3 points per game this season.
Last Tuesday, Browne came up short against Skyline and fell 56-46. While the Bruins didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Coyotes 18-8 in the first quarter.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Karmello Walker, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 12 boards. He has been hot, having posted eight or more rebounds the last six times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Adam Chaffin, who posted seven points in addition to seven boards and three blocks.
Even though they lost, Browne smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in five consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Camelback was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 80-76 heartbreaker at the hands of Chandler. While losing is never fun, the Spartans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 210th, while the Wolves are ranked 70th).
Browne will have to contain Aken Logan as he made an impact in Camelback's last game. He went 9 of 22 en route to 27 points and five steals. With that strong performance, Logan is now averaging an impressive 2.2 steals per game. Another player making a difference was Jaylin Ideran, who had 12 points along with six assists and six rebounds.
Browne's defeat dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Camelback, their loss dropped their record down to 2-11.
Some high-performance offense is likely on the agenda as both are some of the highest scoring teams in the league. Browne hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having averaged 60.3 points per game. However, it's not like Camelback struggles in that department as they've been averaging 60.7 points. With both teams so easily able to put up points, the only question left is who can run the score up higher.
Browne was taken down by Camelback 70-34 in their previous matchup back in January of 2024. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Ideran, who went 6 for 15 on his way to 19 points in addition to eight steals and seven boards. Now that Browne knows the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? Check MaxPreps.com after the match to find out.
