The Roanoke Valley Christian EAGLES waltzed into their contest on Monday with 18 straight wins but they left with 19. They blew past Timberlake Christian 79-51 on the road. Roanoke Valley Christian has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 21 points or more this season.
It was another big night for Jeremy Chou, who scored 23 points along with four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Alex Nelson, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds.
Timberlake Christian's loss came despite strong showings from Adrian Warrick and Sawyer Epps. Warrick scored 18 points, while Epps scored 17 points.
Roanoke Valley Christian's victory was their 11th straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 19-2. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.1 points per game. As for Timberlake Christian, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-11.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Roanoke Valley Christian will take on Ridgeview Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Roanoke Valley Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up nine on Monday. As for Timberlake Christian, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Christian Heritage Academy at 7:00 p.m. on February 6th. Christian Heritage Academy will be up against Timberlake Christian's rather soft defense (which has allowed 52.6 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive showing.
