The Rockwood Rockets struggled with threes on Monday (the Shanksville Stonycreek Vikings had five more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Rockwood fell just short of the Vikings by a score of 39-37. If Rockwood was looking for revenge after losing 44-31 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Kipp is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight. Another player making a difference was Braxton Faidley, who scored six points along with six rebounds.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rockwood won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against the Huskies at 7:15 p.m. on January 30th. Northern presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Rockets in their respective states (the Huskies are ranked 217th in Maryland, while the Rockets are ranked 744th in Pennsylvania). As for Shanksville Stonycreek, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against the Rams at 7:15 p.m. on January 30th. Turkeyfoot Valley Area knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past five matches -- so hopefully the Vikings like a good challenge.
