Fall River came out on top against Cambria-Friesland on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run seventh inning. The Pirates won by a run and slipped past the Hilltoppers 6-5. Winning may never get old, but the Pirates sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

The team relied heavily on Mason Powell, who went 2-for-4 with four RBI and one double. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Connor Veith, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Fall River's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-3. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Cambria-Friesland, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-4.

Fall River will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Hilltoppers: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
