They took their match on the road with ease, bagging a 69-41 victory over Tabb. 69 seems to be a good number for Grafton as the team scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.
Grafton relied on the efforts of Alonni Wells, who scored 22 points along with eight assists and six steals, and Taylor Ragland, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds. Ragland is absolutely dominating the rebound category: she's posted at least eight every time she's taken the court this season. Riley Wilson was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with eight rebounds.
New Kent posted their closest win yet this season on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged Bruton out 33-30. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win New Kent has posted against Bruton since January 10, 2019.
Grafton's victory bumped their record up to 14-1. As for New Kent, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-9.
Everything came up roses for Grafton against New Kent when the teams last played back in December of 2023 as the squad secured a 59-23 victory. With Grafton ahead 43-10 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
