Baseball Recap: Hardee Takes a Loss

Hardee was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the IMG Academy Royal Ascenders.

Hardee saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ryland Beumel, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3. Beumel has become a key player for the Wildcats: the team is 4-2 when he posts at least two runs, but 4-9 otherwise.

Hardee's defeat dropped their record down to 8-11. As for IMG Academy Royal, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hardee will head out to challenge Avon Park at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Red Devils' pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so the Wildcats' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for IMG Academy Royal, they will challenge Naples at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Ascenders are facing the Golden Eagles at the right time seeing as the Golden Eagles are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
