The Crater Comets''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Churchill 26-24. This was payback for Crater, who suffered a 13-7 loss the last time these two teams met.
Valentin Rodriguez had a dynamite game for Crater, rushing for 202 yards and three touchdowns. The team also got some help courtesy of Ben Higginson, who rushed for 80 yards and a touchdown.
Crater's victory bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Churchill, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 3-5.
Crater does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Churchill is also done with their season.
