After each having a week off, the Clarksville Wildcats and the Antioch Bears will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Clarksville comes in on six and Antioch on eight.
Two weeks ago, Clarksville earned a 28-19 win over Shelbyville Central.
Ahvare Galbreath had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 87 yards and a pair of touchdowns, while also picking up 39 receiving yards.
Clarksville didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Shelbyville Central to a completion percentage of just 50%. The team can thank Jamarcus Watkins for the heroic effort on defense: he. Clarksville wasn't nearly as limited: they posted one of 60%.

Clarksville didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Joshua Anderson and Max Cunningham. Anderson also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with nine.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Antioch). They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 64-62 victory over Franklin Road Academy two weeks ago. The Bears pushed the score to 56-35 by the end of the third, a deficit the Panthers cut but never quite recovered from.
Clarksville better keep an eye on Andre Adams. He was instrumental in Antioch's win, throwing for 401 yards and six TDs while completing 78.6% of his passes, and also rushing for 137 yards and three scores on only 15 carries. With that strong performance, Adams is now averaging an impressive 302.6 passing yards per game. Antioch's leading receiver Brandon Goliday was Adams' top target yet again, picking up 245 receiving yards and four touchdowns.
Clarksville's win bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Antioch, their victory bumped their record up to 8-0.
The upcoming game will be a clash of competing strengths. Clarksville has deployed a run-first offense that has averaged 233.9 rushing yards a game. Meanwhile, Antioch has preferred to attack from the air: they average 305.8 passing yards per game. So which strategy will prevail on Friday? There's only one way to find out.
