The Jefferson Academy Jaguars suffered their biggest defeat since December 2, 2023 on Saturday. Their rough 45-21 defeat to Colorado Academy might stick with them for a while. Jefferson Academy has struggled against Colorado Academy recently, as their game on Saturday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Sofia Pathak and Elsa Nygren certainly did their best on Saturday to try and avoid the loss. Pathak scored seven points along with seven rebounds, while Nygren scored four points along with six rebounds and two steals. Nygren hasn't dropped below two steals for nine straight games.
Jefferson Academy's loss dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Colorado Academy, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 9-4.
Jefferson Academy will head out on the road to take on Forge Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Forge Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 last Thursday. As for Colorado Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Eagle Ridge Academy at 6:00 p.m. Eagle Ridge Academy is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak.
