Bridges Prep hasn't had much luck against Cross recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Buccaneers will challenge the Stingrays at 6:00 p.m. Bridges Prep has given up an average of 14.7 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Bridges Prep is headed into Friday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Thursday. They lost 22-12 to Edisto.

Lillie Prater was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 5-for-5 with four stolen bases and four runs. She has been hot for a while, having posted at least one stolen base the last nine times she's played. Another player making a difference was Scarlett Foskey, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one double.
Meanwhile, Cross got the win against Thomas Heyward Academy on Thursday by a conclusive 14-3. The result was nothing new for the Stingrays, who have now won eight matchups by six runs or more so far this season.
Savannah Hollings was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching four innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. Hollings was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-5 with one stolen base and one run.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Alaysia Hollings, who went 4-for-5 with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. Gracie Shultzman was another key player, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.
Bridges Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Cross, their record now sits at 11-7.
Friday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Bridges Prep hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .374. However, it's not like Cross struggles in that department as they've averaged .376. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Bridges Prep might still be hurting after the 15-3 loss they got from Cross in their previous matchup back in March. Can the Buccaneers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
