After three games on the road, Kenosha Tremper is heading back home. They will take on the Indian Trail Hawks at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the pair will really light up the scoreboard.
Last Tuesday, Kenosha Tremper didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Racine Horlick, but they still walked away with a 64-58 victory. The win was just what Kenosha Tremper needed coming off of a 73-47 loss in their prior matchup.
Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Indian Trail beat Racine Park 68-64 on Tuesday. The win was all the more spectacular given Indian Trail's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 213th, while Racine Park is ranked 94th).
Mj Stackhouse continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, shooting 4-for-7 from deep and dropping a double-double on 38 points and 17 rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Indian Trail's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Silas Bolton, who scored ten points along with two steals.
Kenosha Tremper's victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-12. As for Indian Trail, they now have a winning record of 8-7.
Kenosha Tremper came up short against Indian Trail when the teams last played back in December of 2023, falling 71-60. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Stackhouse, who scored 24 points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
