Lakeway Christian Academy had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the seven-run drubbing they dealt King's Academy on Tuesday. Lakeway Christian Academy was the clear victor by a 7-0 margin over King's Academy. The result was nothing new for Lakeway Christian Academy, who have now won ten contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Chase Gockenbach made a splash while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 11 over seven innings pitched. Those 11 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Hudson Ford, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI. Bryson Allen was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-3.

Lakeway Christian Academy pushed their record up to 16-5 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for King's Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season.

Lakeway Christian Academy will take on Collins in a tournament on Thursday. As for King's Academy, they will venture away from home to challenge William Blount at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
